1. Categories we use
This website uses two categories, and the consent banner offers exactly these two. Strictly necessary, required for the site to function, including remembering your cookie choice and your light/dark theme. Always active; no consent required. Statistics, help us understand how visitors use the site, anonymously and in aggregate. Off by default and set only after you consent. We use no Marketing cookies and no Preferences cookies, so the banner offers no such categories.
2. Strictly necessary cookies
yes-eu-consent, the record of your cookie choice. It stores which categories you allowed and the date and time you chose. Stored in your browser (localStorage). Retained for 12 months, after which the banner asks you again. Set by: this website. yes-theme, remembers your light/dark theme preference. Stored in your browser (localStorage). Duration: until you clear it. Set by: this website.
3. Statistics cookies
Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.), measures site usage. Typical cookies: _ga (duration up to 2 years) and _ga_<id> (up to 2 years). Set only after you consent to statistics. Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation), heatmaps and session insights to improve usability. Cookies include _clck (duration up to 1 year) and _clsk (duration 1 day) and similar. Set only after you consent to statistics. Newsletter signup (Brevo / Sendinblue SAS), if you subscribe via the newsletter form, Brevo may set cookies to operate the form and remember your submission, with durations set by Brevo. These are operational, not marketing, and are set only when you use the form.
4. Managing your choices
When you first visit, a consent banner appears with three controls: "Accept all" allows statistics cookies, "Decline" allows none beyond the strictly necessary ones, and "Settings" expands a per-category choice where you can switch Statistics on or off and confirm with "Save choices". Strictly necessary is always on and cannot be switched off. You can reopen the banner at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page, and withdrawing consent there is as easy as giving it. If you withdraw consent for statistics, the page reloads so the measurement scripts stop running. We ask again every 12 months. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though strictly necessary cookies cannot be switched off without affecting how the site works.
